Job Title: Business Analyst at Jet2.com & Jet2holidays
About the Role
Hackajob is collaborating with Jet2.com to connect them with exceptional professionals for this Business Analyst role. In this position, you’ll play a crucial part in helping the business achieve its goals by working closely with data and analytical platforms. The role involves defining and owning the requirements for an initiative from the early stages through to go-live. Responsibilities include:
- Facilitating stakeholder workshops
- Conducting interviews and employing effective questioning techniques to capture valuable insights
- Developing analysis to inform future decision-making

Core Responsibilities
- Deliver a variety of initiatives across technical teams.
- Identify, document, and assess risks, dependencies, or compliance impacts.
- Utilise deep questioning techniques with stakeholders to understand data usage and ensure actionable decision-making outputs.
- Collaborate with the Data Governance team to maintain and update the data catalogue, ensuring consistency.
- Manage the requirements lifecycle across assigned focus areas, including elicitation, analysis, and documentation.
- Create Business Process Models and Data Models, including Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD), in collaboration with Data Information Architecture to visualise workflows and data structures.
Focus Areas
Depending on your business assignment, you’ll specialise in one of the following areas:
1. Pre-Delivery Focus (Product & Portfolio Alignment)
- Work alongside Product Managers, Business Stakeholders, and Architects to define smaller, iterative value drops within complex strategic initiatives.
- Ensure clarity and alignment of functional and non-functional requirements before technical design commences.
2. Delivery Focus (Agile Release Train - ART & Engineering Execution)
- Collaborate closely with delivery teams and business stakeholders to refine scope and outcomes during Agile ceremonies such as "3 Amigos" and "Refinement" sessions.
- Capture and refine requirements as clear, testable user stories, aligning with industry best practices and defining acceptance criteria.

What You’ll Have
To succeed in this role, you will bring a mix of technical, analytical, and soft skills, with a clear track record of delivering successfully in fast-paced environments. Key requirements include:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities—ability to simplify complex scenarios.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or equivalent experience in Data Analysis/ Governance, with enthusiasm for transitioning into a business analysis context.
- A strong understanding of the Data Lifecycle and recognition of the business value of data.
- Experience collaborating in Agile environments, balancing competing priorities, and excelling in dynamic settings.
- Requirements Engineering expertise: translating high-level business needs into structured, documented requirements that support robust data product development.
- Hands-on experience creating:
- Business Process Models (e.g., UML Activity Diagrams, BPMN)
- Data Models (e.g., Entity Relationship Diagrams)
