We have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Analyst to join Robert Walters as a Consultant. As an employed Consultant, you will benefit from permanent employment with Robert Walters and will be deployed on an interim or project basis into our clients' organisations, in return we will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills with ongoing training and professional accreditations.
A leading organisation in the wealth management sector is seeking a Business Analyst Digital Platform to play a pivotal role in a major digital re-platforming initiative. This opportunity offers you the chance to work at the heart of digital transformation, focusing on both client and advisor journeys within a highly respected environment.
What you'll do:
- As a Business Analyst Digital Platform based in London, you will be deeply involved in shaping the future of digital client onboarding within wealth management.
- Take ownership of discovery and detailed requirements for onboarding journeys, including happy path scenarios, exceptions, error states, and operational fallbacks to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Work closely with engineering, product, architecture, and risk/compliance teams on a daily basis to produce outcomes that are buildable and testable.
- Create and maintain essential delivery artefacts such as user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, process flows, and lightweight mock-ups or annotations where beneficial.
- Support platform migration activities by conducting feature parity analysis, gap analysis, data mapping, process mapping, and assessing decommissioning implications.
- Translate complex system and process concepts into clear explanations for non-technical stakeholders while maintaining precision for technical delivery teams.
- Drive informed decisions regarding configuration versus customisation versus integration to minimise unnecessary bespoke builds.
- Ensure onboarding and self-service journeys are compliant with regulatory standards while remaining user-friendly and testable from end-to-end.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine backlogs, write stories, clarify requirements, and facilitate acceptance criteria discussions.

What you bring:
- In the role of Business Analyst Digital Platform you will bring proven experience in delivering B2C digital client onboarding solutions within financial services or wealth management contexts.
- You have at least 12 months' experience delivering B2C digital client onboarding solutions such as account opening processes, KYC/AML/IDV procedures, document capture workflows, e-signature implementations, suitability assessments or appropriateness checks where relevant.
- Your hands-on background includes embedded business analysis delivery experience working directly with developers on backlog refinement sessions, story writing tasks, acceptance criteria formulation and clarifications during agile sprints.
- You possess practical exposure to platform migration projects involving mapping current processes to target behaviours and systems within regulated environments.
- Your communication skills enable you to explain complex system or process concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders without losing accuracy for technical teams.
- You demonstrate proficiency in creating user stories, acceptance criteria documents, functional specifications sheets, process flow diagrams and annotated mock-ups as required by project demands.
- You are comfortable collaborating across multiple disciplines including engineering teams, product managers, architects and risk/compliance specialists to achieve shared goals.
- You show sensitivity towards regulatory compliance requirements when designing onboarding or self-service journeys for clients or advisors.
