Role: Business Analyst

Location: 60% office attendance (based in Nottingham, Ipswich, London, Newcastle, Manchester, Edinburgh, Croydon, Exeter, Cardiff, Birmingham, or Leeds)

Duration: 3 months initially and extendable

Role Type: Hybrid

Salary: Depending on experience

Overview:

We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support the development of Client’s Unit Cost Framework, alongside wider business transformation initiatives. The role will involve working closely with Finance, Operations, Data, and Technology teams to capture business requirements, map processes, develop cost allocation methodologies, and deliver business improvements.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong Business Analyst experience (3–5+ years) delivering complex business change programmes.
  • Finance background with hands-on experience of unit cost frameworks, cost modelling, cost allocation, and identifying cost drivers.
  • Ability to link business processes and activities to underlying costs.
  • Strong end-to-end process mapping experience using BPMN, including As Is and To Be models.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements and translating them into business and technology solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and communication skills, working with senior stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Data, and IT.
  • Previous public sector experience is essential.
