Job Title: Business Analyst

We're looking for an enthusiastic and confident Business Analyst to join us on a Fixed Term Contract until March 2027 to provide dedicated analytical support to the Frontier and Bridge AI programme, working with government, industry and academic partners to turn complex evidence into clear, actionable insights.

Reporting to the Head of Business Analysis, the role will support market segmentation, impact assessment, technology foresight and programme decision-making, while collaborating with project leads and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outputs against agreed milestones.

This role can be based out of our London, Bristol or Gateshead office locations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO (Duties)

  • Deliver business analysis activities in support of the Frontier and Bridge AI project, ensuring work is completed to agreed standards, timescales, and quality expectations.
  • Provide continuity across project phases, supporting the transition from ecosystem mapping into work package-specific research and foresight activity.
  • Gather, structure, analyse, and synthesise qualitative and quantitative information to support project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and evidence-based recommendations.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues and project stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify dependencies, and ensure analytical outputs are aligned to delivery needs.
  • Produce clear, well-structured outputs such as research summaries, insight packs, stakeholder materials, and analysis that support decision-making across the project.
  • Track progress against agreed milestones and highlight risks, gaps, or resourcing pressures that could affect delivery.
  • Contribute to consistent business analysis standards and ways of working within the project and wider team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering business analysis in complex, multi-disciplinary programmes or projects
  • Solid understanding of innovation processes, ecosystem dynamics / intelligence and business analysis best practices
  • Required experience in market segmentation, technology assessment, and innovation foresight.
  • Experience working within or with the AI ecosystem and an understanding of the sustainability aspects of AI is desirable but not essential along with Gen AI experience to enhance processes, analysis and workflow.
  • Strong analytical capability, critical thinking, market/insight/commercial modelling skills, and risk aware design.
  • Practical understanding of BA tools and methodologies (Excel, Power BI, GenAI productivity tools) with the ability to extract insights and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, collaboration, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Ideally educated to degree level in a relevant field or qualified by experience. An advanced degree, an MBA or a recognised innovation management qualification would be advantageous.
  • Comfortable and confident working on a time-bound project assignment, with a focus on delivering high-quality analysis and outputs within the programme timeline.
  • Equality, diversity and inclusion commitments.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
