Role Overview
The Business Analyst will contribute to the business analysis activities on large-scale digital transformation programmes. The Business Analyst will undertake strategic analysis activities to ensure the digital and business solutions meet requirements and satisfy quality expectations of Information Services and business; they will also take a significant role in managing the changes being introduced.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to business analysis activities on large-scale digital transformation programmes.
- Undertake strategic analysis activities to ensure digital and business solutions meet requirements and quality expectations.
- Manage changes being introduced.
- Gather, validate, and document requirements by facilitating workshops with technical and business subject matter experts.
- Map complex data/information and business processes, creating process maps using schematic diagrams.
- Support and align on the understanding of change impacts and efficiency opportunities.
Requirements
- Hybrid working available (a few days in Portsmouth per week).
- Fixed-term contract from 3 August 2026 to 5 November 2027.
- For internal candidates, approval from line manager required to apply under the Secondment Policy.

Salary Information
New appointments will routinely be made to the entry spine point (minimum) for the advertised grade, from where the individual will (in addition to receiving annual cost-of-living-related increases) progress through the pay range to the maximum for the grade, within a reasonable timeframe. This ensures fairness, consistency, and transparency in our pay structures. A higher starting salary or market supplement may be available for a truly exceptional candidate when circumstances fully justify a departure from our normal policy.
