Business Analyst (Future Post Production Project) – 9 Month Fixed-Term Contract
Contract Details
- Type: 9 months Fixed-Term Full Time
- Salary: £50,000–£55,000 (projected August 2023 rates)
- Location: White City, London (Hybrid work expected: 1–2 days in the office)
- Closing Date: 1st July 2026
About the Role
The evolving media and post-production landscape within ITV Studios presents an opportunity to reimagine workflows through cloud-based solutions and AI tooling. This initiative aims to enhance efficiency, creativity, and the value of our intellectual property (IP).
As a Business Analyst on this fixed-term project, you will:
- Conduct deep analytical thinking to explore future-process transformations.
- Define proofs of concept, pilots, toolsets, and product evolutions.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, technologists, and stakeholders across production and operations.
Your work will be critical in shaping the future of media asset management (MAM) and post-production by constructing a commercially compelling narrative rooted in business and financial data.
The Team
The Studios Technology team drives the technological infrastructure supporting ITV’s global content business, spanning production tools to worldwide distribution systems.
The Future Post Production initiative focuses on transforming the post-production and media asset management landscape via a cross-functional team, including:
- Technical architects
- Business analysts
- Engineers
- Experts from in-house post-production operations

The environment fosters collaboration, innovation, and learning. You will report to the Programme Manager while working across teams such as technology teams, production, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
As the Business Analyst, you will:
- Conduct user-focused analysis of current business processes, tools, and workflows in post-production and media asset management.
- Validate assumptions and identify pain points and areas for improvement.
- Produce standard analysis deliverables, including:
- Business process models
- Stakeholder matrices
- Data flow diagrams
- Define and prioritise functional and non-functional requirements for system upgrades and tooling advancements.
- Develop detailed acceptance criteria and oversee testing to ensure solutions align with user expectations.
- Perform gap analysis to identify training needs and business adoption challenges.
- Work with the Product Manager and project teams to:
- Capture and prioritise change backlogs.
- Align priorities with strategic business goals.
- Build trusted stakeholder relationships across:
- Senior management
- Technology peers
- Business users
Requirements
Minimum Criteria
- 3+ years’ experience in Business Analysis (or a related field, e.g., product or delivery management).
- Experience within media or post-production environments.
- Technical familiarity with:
- Media Asset Management (MAM) systems
- Post-production workflows (e.g., video/audio transfer, transcoding, delivery, archiving).
- Strong analytical skills, including:
- Business process mapping data and financial analysis.
- Ability to elicit business requirements using methods such as:
- Workshops
- Stakeholder interviews
- Proven ability to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Experience writing testable user stories (preferably using Gherkin syntax).
- Experience prioritising features using frameworks like:
- MoSCoW (Must-have, Should-have, Could-have, Won’t-have)
- RICE (Reach, Impact, Confidence, Effort)
- WSJF (Weighted Shortest Job First)
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Strong written and presentation skills to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Background in financial modelling and analysis.

- Experience working with cloud storage platforms and media toolsets.
- Wider industry experience in AI solutions, including their integration into tech stacks.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams, fostering strong working relationships.
- Adaptability to communicate complex findings to executive audiences.
