Business Analyst (Fixed-Term Contract) – Future Post Production Project

Location: White City, London (1–2 days in office per week) Contract Type: 9 Month Fixed-Term Contract

About the Role

The media and post-production landscape is evolving rapidly. ITV Studios aims to adopt innovative cloud-based workflows and AI tooling to streamline processes, enhance creativity, and unlock the full potential of their intellectual property.

We’re seeking a Business Analyst on a fixed-term basis to:

  • Lead user-focused analysis of current post-production and media asset workflows.
  • Define proofs of concept, pilots, and future toolsets/test evolutions.
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, engineers, and operational teams to chart a data-driven, commercially advantageous future for media asset management and post-production.

The Team

The Studios Technology team powers ITV’s global content business—from production tools to global content discovery and distribution systems. The Future Post Production project focuses on transforming post-production and media asset management through a cross-functional team of architects, analysts, engineers, and post-production experts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Process Mapping:

    • Document current workflows, validate pain points/via stakeholder interviews.
    • Prepare analysis deliverables (business process models, stakeholder matrices, data flow diagrams).
  • Requirement Definition & Prioritisation:

    • Develop detailed functional/non-functional requirements with acceptance criteria.
    • Work with Product Manager and project teams to refine backlog alignment.
  • Technical & User Readiness:

    • Conduct gap analysis to identify training needs and partner with business change.
    • Oversee testing to ensure user needs and business standards are met.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Build trusted relationships with tech peers, business leaders, and senior management.

Skills & Experience (Minimum Criteria)

  • 3+ years in Business Analysis (or related roles like Product/Delivery).
  • Industry experience in media production/post-production critical.
  • Fluency with:
    • Media Asset Management (MAM).
    • Video/audio transfer, transcoding, delivery, and archiving processes.
  • Analytical robustness:
    • Business process analysis, data/financial modelling.
    • Ability to articulate complex systems for varied audiences.
  • Requirements Mastery:
    • Using Gherkin syntax for testable user stories.
    • Applying prioritization frameworks (MoSCoW, RICE, WSJF).
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience required.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional written communication, presentation skills, and ability to distill ambiguity into clarity.

  • Cloud & Media Tool Experience:
    • Expertise working with cloud storage and media-specific toolsets.
  • AI Integration:
    • Experience evaluating AI solutions and their potential for enterprise adoption.

    • Strong team player skilled at building consensus and accelerating delivery.
  • Elevator Pitch Capability:
    • Tailoring insights and findings for executive audiences.
