About The Role
We are currently seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join a reputable NHS organization on a two-month initial contract basis. This hybrid position based in Cardiff offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of digital, data, and business transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with both business and technical teams to facilitate discovery, gather and validate requirements, and identify opportunities for process improvement. Your insights will help shape future digital solutions that deliver measurable value to the organization. This role requires a proactive individual capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels, translating complex requirements into practical solutions, and supporting Agile delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, particularly within digital transformation, data projects, or technology programmes.
- Strong requirements gathering, process mapping, and gap analysis skills.
- Experience facilitating workshops and engaging with stakeholders across organizational levels.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including user story development and backlog management.
- Technical exposure to Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Power BI, and Azure.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently across multiple workstreams.
Responsibilities
The Business Analyst will be responsible for:
- Leading discovery workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions to understand business needs and identify opportunities for digital transformation.
- Gathering, documenting, and validating both functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Analyzing existing business processes to identify automation, workflow improvements, and service enhancements.
- Producing comprehensive business analysis artefacts, including user stories, process maps, gap analyses, and detailed requirements documentation.
- Collaborating closely with technical teams to translate business needs into scalable digital solutions.
- Supporting Agile delivery teams with backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing, and deployment activities, ensuring timely and effective delivery of solutions.
