Business Analyst – Finance & Risk Transformation

Contract: 6–12 Months

Location: London (Hybrid)

Rate: Competitive Daily Rate

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a major Finance and Risk Transformation programme within a global enterprise environment. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping a strategic Finance & Risk Hub initiative, supporting large-scale transformation, process improvement, solution evaluation, and vendor engagement activities.

Working within a complex Agile environment, you will collaborate with senior stakeholders, product teams, technology partners, and external vendors to define requirements, assess solution options, and drive business value across critical finance and trading systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture business problems, value drivers, and functional/non-functional requirements, translating them into clear business and technical solutions.
  • Assess risks, feasibility, opportunities, and business impact associated with proposed solutions.
  • Analyse and model business processes, data flows, and technology landscapes to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Create and maintain high-quality business analysis documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure end-to-end traceability of requirements from initial business needs through testing, delivery, and scope changes.
  • Work closely with software suppliers, designers, developers, and architects to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Support system and database design activities where required.
  • Configure and document software solutions and business processes using agreed methodologies and tools.
  • Define acceptance criteria and coordinate testing activities to validate business outcomes.
  • Develop and present business cases that support investment decisions, prioritisation, and delivery planning.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement activities, workshops, and large-scale design sessions.
  • Plan, manage, execute, monitor, and control business analysis activities across projects.
  • Lead business analysis workstreams and mentor wider project teams.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
