Business Analyst (Summer Placement)
Location: Cheltenham
Duration: 3-Month Summer Placement (Summer 2026)

Are you a student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in business analysis, data, technology, and project delivery?
We're looking for a motivated and analytical Business Analyst Summer Placement Student to join our Group IT team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on real business projects, collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation, and develop valuable skills in data analysis, requirements gathering, and project support.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Business Analyst Summer Placement Student, you'll support a range of IT and business improvement initiatives by:
- Analysing, validating, and cleansing data to improve accuracy and quality
- Gathering, documenting, and prioritising business requirements
- Working with stakeholders across the business to understand needs and progress project activities
- Creating process maps, data summaries, action trackers, and issue logs
- Coordinating stakeholder reviews, feedback, and approvals
- Supporting project meetings, reporting, and follow-up actions
- Identifying risks, blockers, and data-quality issues and escalating where appropriate
- Contributing ideas and recommendations that help improve business processes and project outcomes
What We're Looking For
We're interested in students or graduates who are curious, collaborative, and keen to learn.
You'll ideally have:
- A degree (or be studying towards one) in Business, IT, Data, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Confidence communicating with a range of stakeholders
- Good Excel skills and experience organising or analysing data
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently when required
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn business analysis techniques
Desirable criteria:
- Experience with Power BI, SQL, or data visualisation tools
- Exposure to projects, process improvement activities, or stakeholder engagement
- Experience within an IT, engineering, or manufacturing environment
