Business Analyst
Senior FGPP Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Client Technical Focal Point
About the Role
Act as the client’s technical focal point for their FGPP (Flow-based Global Payments Processing) implementation in production, focused on troubleshooting and problem-solving demanding issues.
Responsible for leading technical engagements, managing escalations, and ensuring smooth operation of FGPP-related processes while maintaining deep functional and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshooting & Production Support
- Resolve and solve production issues stemming from FGPP configurations, processes, and integrations
- Triage, recreate, and trace issues using interactive developer tools (DB, GUI, traces)
- Collaborate with internal and client teams to resolve issues efficiently
Escalation Management
- Handle L2 escalations for complex and sophisticated FGPP issues
- Classify issues based on depth (configuration vs. code fixes) and communicate to L3/L4 teams when required
Deep Functional & Technical Expertise
- Demonstrate proven hands-on experience with FGPP (not limited to Classic GPP) within the last 3 years
- Master FGPP Configuration: Profiles, rules setup, error handling, and deep functional knowledge
- Lead technical calls as the client-facing point in troubleshooting and support

Investigation & Root Cause Analysis
- Perform root cause investigation using GUI, DB, and traces
- Identify logical fields (
xpath, object rules), profile UDFs, and cache refresh impacts - Apply workarounds where possible and roll out configuration fixes to BA Master branches
Payment Processing Assessment
- Review and analyze the payment processing flow to identify discrepancies and breakdowns
- Compare code execution paths with errors to pinpoint the exact breakdown
Configuration & Code Workarounds
- Execute complex configurations (Pre/Post Rules) to resolve inefficiencies
- Engage in governance workflows for proposed code changes
Trace & Code Analysis
- Analyze performance traces to isolate root causes and assess fixes
- Decide between configuration changes or code submissions to L3 if required
Customer Interaction
- Lead technical calls with clients to explain issues, offer solutions, and outline next steps
- Work closely with L1/L2/L3 support teams to provide expert consultation

Collaboration & Escalation Support
- Collaborate with Advisors and PAS Leads to jointly escalate and resolve cases
- Provide ongoing updates on progressed cases and potential modifications
- Work collaboratively with the Production Development Team (L3) and Product Management to test fixes and suggest improvements
Skills & Experience Required
✔ FCPP/GPP Application Development: Strong experience with FGPP (≥3 years); mix of Classic and non-Classic GPP
✔ Troubleshooting & Debugging: Troubleshoot production incidents through GUI, DB, trace, workflow analysis
✔ Technical & Functional Knowledge: Deep understanding of FGPP business functionality, cache manipulation, UDFs, xpath, and pagination
✔ Ecosystem Integrations: Broad knowledge of B2C commerce, ePGP, CCGE, and Legacy payments processes
✔ Customer-Centric Communication: Experience leading client engagements and resolving escalations
✔ Team Coordination: Collaborate with internal development and client-facing teams
Predicted domains offered are: BGPP/GPP, CCG, Travel Would strongly prefer candidates with CCGE and FGPP experience.
