About the Role

The Business Analyst (BA) will collaborate with the Business and Local IT Teams, primarily focusing on analysing the needs of internal clients and stakeholders to identify business problems and propose solutions. Within the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) domain, the BA will act as a liaison among stakeholders to elicit, analyse, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems.

The BA will understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommend solutions that enable the organisation to achieve its goals. As a key member of our Group IT Function, you will work with the Group and Local Project and Programme Delivery teams, serving as the primary conduit for managing business and system requirements and ensuring their implementation. Our goal is to engage with customers to help them meet their financial commitments, and you must demonstrate creativity and innovation in the solutions you propose to support this critical business goal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide stakeholders on devising effective and efficient approaches to achieving Programme/Project objectives.
  • Analyse and map business processes (current state/future state).
  • Liaise with various business units to identify and define business and technical requirements using a variety of methods, including but not limited to Use Cases, BPMN, UML, mock-ups, and wireframes, while striving to work within Agile methodologies, writing Epics, Features, and User Stories.
  • Analyse processes and data to identify gaps or perform process or data mapping.
  • Understand complex technical concepts and present them in simple terms to non-technical team members and clients.
  • Liaise with other project areas to coordinate interdependencies and resolve issues.
  • Identify business process improvement opportunities.
  • Produce high-quality documentation, reports, status updates, and issues to the Programme/Project Manager(s).
  • Document project requirements in English as the primary business language (and in the local language where requested).
  • Ensure that the backlog of work is prioritised and includes demonstrable iteration deliverables to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the management of risks and provide input to the Project/Programme Manager(s) relating to any Risk Management Process.
  • Prepare or provide input to business cases, feasibility assessments, etc.
  • Contribute to Enterprise Architecture development from a business needs perspective.
  • Be a team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources.
  • Perform any other relevant duties to support the Programme, Project, Colleagues, or Company.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
