Business Analyst (Oracle Fusion)
Salary & Contract
- Salary: £54,300 per annum
- Location: Homebased (must be permanently located in the UK and willing to travel to Watford regularly)
- Contract: Full time, Fixed Term until 31/03/2027

About the Role
Action for Children has undergone a system simplification programme, implementing Oracle Fusion for a complete People and Finance System. Over the past five years, they have embarked on a stabilisation programme post-implementation and require an experienced Oracle ERP/EPM Business Analyst to join until 31/03/2027.
You will:
- Report to the Programme Lead
- Collaborate closely with the Finance and Technical Teams to redesign financial business processes aligned with Oracle ERP/EPM
Key Responsibilities
Process & Requirement Capture
- Lead structured workshops with Finance, People Operations, and Technology to:
- Capture current processes, pain points, and operational scenarios.
- Translate needs into clear, outcome-focused requirements.

Acceptance Criteria & Validation
- Define and maintain robust, testable acceptance criteria.
- Ensure solutions align with real business outcomes instead of system assumptions.
Cross-Module Analysis
- Analyse and articulate cross-module impact across:
- ERP, HCM
- Payroll
- Reporting
- Identify dependencies, constraints, and downstream implications early.
Testing & Validation
- Support discovery, testing, and validation by:
- Coordinating scenario-based testing.
- Working with SMEs to confirm operational viability end-to-end.
Workflow & Process Documentation
- Document key process and data flows, including:
- Chart of Accounts structures
- Costing logic
- Approval processes
- Highlight inefficiencies and manual workarounds.
Stakeholder & Technical Bridging
- Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring:
- Challenging of assumptions
- Clarification of requirements
- Alignment across stakeholders throughout delivery
EPM Business Requirements & Training
- Document EPM workforce module requirements from a business perspective.
- Identify training gaps for EPM and propose solutions.
Requirements
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- BA experience specifically within Oracle Fusion Financial Management Modules.
- Exceptional ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders (in-person and online).
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Experience with Oracle EPM.
- Prior involvement in a Chart of Accounts project within Oracle.
