Business Analyst (x2), GUY'S & ST THOMAS FOUNDATION
Business Analyst
The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and developing the business processes and information assets critical to the Foundation’s operations. Leveraging Salesforce, Microsoft O365, and Power BI, the role focuses on refining ways of working while contributing to system development across multiple platforms.
Working alongside the Change Manager, this position serves as a pivotal link between business functions (Impact on Urban Health, Charities, People & Culture, and Endowment) and the Technology team, ensuring employees have the necessary systems, processes, and information for high-quality, impactful work.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Alignment
- Recommend and champion improvements to align processes with the Digital Transformation Strategy.
Business Analysis
- Analyse current workflows to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, effectiveness, and user experience.
Requirements Gathering & Documentation
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to gather requirements.
- Produce clear documentation, including:
- User stories
- Acceptance criteria
- Process maps
- Functional specifications
Data Analysis
- Interpret organisational data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities.
- Support evidence-based decision-making across teams.
Project Delivery & Project Management
- Lead project delivery using agile methodologies where applicable.
- Manage timelines, deliverables, and reporting to internal/external stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies.

Process Design & Support
- Collaborate with users to design/optimise processes.
- Ensure adherence to governance requirements and support training/inductions.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships across the Foundation.
- Manage expectations and priorities among technical/non-technical teams.
Business Partnering (with Technology Team)
- Identify cross-organisational opportunities and recurring issues.
- Assist technical teams in end-user support requests.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Ensure thorough testing against user expectations.
- Enforce consistent standards in terminology, templates, and record management.
Product Backlog Management
- Prioritise backlog items in collaboration with product owners and Salesforce admins.
- Maintain up-to-date process documentation and knowledge bases.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure systems/processes comply with internal governance, audit policies, and data protection regulations.
Business As Usual Activities
- Handle support requests, minor configurations, and training.
- Perform additional ad hoc tasks to aid the Technology team.
Ways of Working
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for the Technology team.
