About The Role
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our strategic projects team on a permanent basis. The purpose of the role is to facilitate and optimise operational efficiency, enhance customer services, and streamline processes. Please note that you will be required to travel to each of our main 3 offices (Didsbury, Liverpool, Accrington) so a full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle is essential.
Job Responsibilities
Customer Service
- To provide excellent customer service both internally and externally, ensuring the customer is at the heart of everything we do, understanding and delivering to their requirements.
- Support Business Leads in translating the overall vision for work they are assigned to, into a level of detail that clarifies the way the future organisation operates.
- Engage with colleagues across the Group to coordinate the capture of ‘As Is’ processes enabling a clear baseline position and platform to build on. Lead process design workshops focusing on engagement and tangible outputs in line with project deliverables.
- Engage with colleagues to refine, create, and document ‘To be’ processes.

Quality and Impact
- Create usable, intuitive and accessible business process maps with supporting information in way that supports effective decision making and business change engagement.
- Identify key outputs and outcomes from design changes and support the project manager and other project team colleagues in assessing the impact of these and taking this forward through effective project planning.
Management, Leadership and Culture Change
- Manage the budgets, resources and priorities of the team ensuring effective and efficient use of resources to deliver agreed performance targets and customer satisfaction.
- Drive culture change across the organisation based on our values.
- Support the Project Manager in raising any issues or risks to the achievement of business objectives.
- Identify and flag any enablers required to support new ways of working.
Skills/Experience
Essential
- Facilitation expertise in planning and leading workshops, including demonstrable skill in engaging people and maximising their contribution.
- Process map creation utilising best practice applications.
- Requirement gathering and developing Use case Stories.
- Experience of working on, and significantly contributing to, complex/crosscutting projects.
- Proven expertise in understanding the direction and ‘blue-print’ of a project and adapting / tailoring process design and/or changes to ways of working to fit the business and organisational change context.
- Ability to produce clear decision papers, design packs, process summaries and recommendations for project boards or senior stakeholders.
- Requirements validation/ test case creation to support business leads and technical leads in end to end testing of specifications and UAT.
- Evidence of making tangible contribution to business objectives from previous projects - for example achieving quantifiable business efficiencies/improvements in service performance/organisational development/customer experience.
- Analytical skills including ability to identify process weakness, gaps, or duplication and collaborate with subject matter experts within the business to identify options and recommendations for improvement.
- Use of Visio, service blueprinting or customer journey mapping templates.

Essential
- Degree or diploma in related area or commensurate experience.
- Six Sigma/Lean practitioner or equivalent.

- BCS Diploma in Business Analysis
