Business Analyst
Business Analyst – Six Months Fixed Term Contract (with possibility of extension)
About the Role
We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our Digital team in a six-month fixed term role, with the possibility for extension.
This role will drive process change and digital transformation across Adur & Worthing Council as we prepare for the upcoming Local Government Reorganisation.
As a Business Analyst, you will:
- Form part of a multi-disciplinary team, working with services to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with service specialists to:
- Analyse process inefficiencies.
- Conduct user research.
- Create user journey maps and wireframes.
- Assess technology options.
- Develop agile change projects and programmes.
- Project manage work from analysis to delivery.
- Apply practical, hands-on approaches to drive change quickly and effectively.

Working Arrangements
- Hybrid working: Primarily based at Worthing Town Hall or other Council sites (approx. two days per week in the office).
Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
- Expertise in process analysis, user research, and digital transformation.
- Ability to manage projects from end-to-end, ensuring efficient delivery.
- Strong technical grasp to assess and recommend appropriate technology solutions.
- Willingness to learn new skills and mentor others.
- Collaborative mindset, able to work positively with diverse teams.
Salary & Benefits
- Starting salary: £42,839 to £46,142 per annum (pro-rated for fixed-term role).
- Grade: 7
- Hours: 37 per week
