About the Role
Eden Scott is delighted to be working with a leading financial services organisation to recruit a motivated Business Analyst to join a growing change and transformation team. This role is office based and is a one-year contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in financial services, operations, project support, or business analysis who is looking to further develop their career within a complex and fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of multiple projects, working closely with project managers, subject matter experts, technology partners and third-party providers.
As a Business Analyst, you will support project activity by gathering, documenting and analysing business requirements, helping to ensure projects are delivered effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting project delivery by capturing business needs, user stories and data requirements in a clear and structured manner
- Gathering and documenting requirements through discussions with stakeholders, project managers, technology teams and external partners
- Producing and maintaining process maps and supporting documentation that outline current and future-state processes, risks, dependencies and areas requiring further clarification
- Assisting with the planning and facilitation of workshops and working sessions, documenting key outcomes, actions and next steps.
- Supporting engagement with third-party providers to clarify requirements, manage questions and responses, and facilitate effective communication across delivery teams
- Identifying process inefficiencies, inconsistencies and gaps, raising recommendations and observations for further review
- Contributing to operational readiness planning and target operating model documentation
- Maintaining project action logs, risk registers, issues and decision trackers, ensuring appropriate follow-up and escalation where required
- Preparing high-quality written updates, analysis, summaries and findings for project stakeholders
- Applying a logical and organised approach to analysis, documentation and project support activities

Person Specification
- 1–2 years' experience within financial services, operations, change, business analysis or a related environment
- A basic understanding of business analysis techniques, including requirements gathering, documenting user needs and business processes
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage actions, risks, priorities and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence to ask questions, challenge constructively and clearly articulate findings
- The ability to build effective working relationships across a wide range of stakeholders
- A proactive and collaborative approach with a willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Exposure to project delivery, change initiatives or PMO environments
- An understanding of data capture, analysis or translating business requirements into structured information would be advantageous
- Experience with process mapping, action tracking, risk logs, meeting minutes or requirements documentation would be beneficial
- Strong attention to detail, intellectual curiosity and a practical problem-solving mindset
