Job Description
We have a brilliant opportunity for a skilled mid-level Business Application Software Engineer to join our global Credit Core Team as part of our Edinburgh office. As a Software Engineer in the Credit Core team, you'll innovate and maintain our Core Product and ABR/S baseline in the area of Credit. You'll collaborate with our Tech Lead, Business Analysts and other Software Engineers to deliver client-oriented and effective solutions. Furthermore you'll exchange with stakeholders outside of the team including customers and software partners.

- Implementing new business functionality on the appropriate software layer and add automated tests.
- Overseeing component ownership for core banking components, as well as ABR/S software components.
- Working as part of a skilled team in an Agile environment to maintain the functionality within the team’s area of expertise.
- Writing solution designs for new developments and reviewing them alongside our technical leads and architects.
- Participating in client workshops and supporting our business analysts in requirements analysis.
Qualifications
- University degree in Computer Science / Engineering / Mathematics or equivalent
- Proven track record working in a software development team
- Excellent client-orientation and strong communication skills in English
- A passion for learning new technologies and a creative approach to problem solving

- PL/SQL, Oracle or database programming skills, but similar programming languages are welcomed
- Knowledge related to Financial Services or Credit, but this is not mandatory
