Business Architect Inside IR35
On behalf of Defra, we are looking for a Business Architect Inside IR35 for a 8 months contract based REMOTELY occasional travel to Newcastle.
In the Defra group, we deal with a vast range of issues that profoundly impact on people’s lives. We are responsible for England’s environment, our countryside and rural economy, the food and farming sectors and have lead responsibility for protection from a wide range of natural threats and hazards. We have developed a set of three strategic objectives covering our policy outcomes and corporate objectives. These objectives help us to deliver our ambitious vision to build our green and healthy future and provide a framework for all the important work we carry out.

Essential:
- Proven experience designing and implementing Operating Models, including defining processes, governance, people, technology, data and decision-making frameworks to support successful service delivery.
- Experience working within a regulatory environment, with the ability to balance user needs, business objectives, compliance requirements and policy intent.
- Demonstrated expertise in Business Architecture, Service Design and Business Analysis, with the ability to translate complex requirements into effective service solutions.
- Strong experience in developing As-Is and To-Be service blueprints, process maps and target operating models, identifying opportunities for improvement and transformation.
- Proven ability to engage, influence and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, facilitating workshops and driving consensus across diverse groups.
- Experience analysing user, operational and business needs, using evidence and insight to shape strategic service improvements and organisational change.
- Ability to think holistically across people, process, technology, data and policy, delivering sustainable solutions that improve efficiency, customer outcomes and organisational performance.
