Job Description

Start Here. Grow Here.

We are seeking a Business Architect & Org Design Lead (Associate Director level) to lead complex client engagements and help grow the Strategy+ offer in AECOM Advisory. This is a senior consulting delivery role, broadly equivalent to Manager level in a management consultancy.

You will work with infrastructure, public sector, and regulated-industry clients to translate strategy into execution through operating model design, transformation, governance, organisation, and performance improvement. This role blends hands-on problem-solving, senior stakeholder management, team leadership, and targeted business development.

About Strategy+

Strategy+ helps organisations solve complex system-level challenges by turning strategy into practical and deliverable change. Our work spans capability-led operating model design, governance design, change and transformation, and performance improvement across people, process, data, technology, and delivery. Key growth priorities lie in operating model design, change management, and performance improvement, particularly within sectors such as Energy, Water, and Defence.

Responsibilities

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Lead complex consulting engagements or major workstreams, from scoping through to delivery, ensuring high-quality outputs, strong project discipline, and clear team accountability.

  • Design and apply credible, efficient, and scalable methodologies to solve client problems across operating model development, organisation design, governance, service transformation, business change, and performance improvement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
