As a Business Assistant Analyst in UK Banking, you will provide high-level support to senior leaders while helping drive effective business operations, client engagement, and executive connectivity. You will serve as a trusted partner, managing competing priorities with professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation and external contacts, you will help create capacity for leaders to focus on strategic priorities while ensuring a seamless experience for clients and colleagues.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage complex calendars and scheduling across multiple priorities, anticipating conflicts and protecting executive time.
- Coordinate client meetings and events, including logistics, attendee management, meeting facilities, and visitor arrangements.
- Arrange domestic and international travel, including itineraries, accommodations, transportation, and contingency planning.
- Support executive communications by monitoring inboxes, tracking actions, and ensuring timely follow-up.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and administrative professionals across the industry.
- Partner with internal teams to coordinate activities and ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Handle incoming requests and communications with professionalism, judgement, and appropriate prioritisation.
- Support expense management, reporting activities, and administrative processes while maintaining strong controls.
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide team coverage and contribute to a seamless support model.
- Facilitate connectivity opportunities through professional networks and relationships to support business objectives.
- Contribute to process improvements, knowledge sharing, and administrative excellence initiatives.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Demonstrated experience supporting senior leaders in a fast-paced, client-focused corporate environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and changing demands.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders and external clients.
- Proven ability to exercise discretion and manage confidential information appropriately.
- Strong judgement and problem-solving skills in time-sensitive situations.
- Proactive approach with the ability to anticipate needs and identify solutions.
- Ability to build effective working relationships across a broad stakeholder network.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Advanced Microsoft Outlook skills, including calendar and inbox management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Experience supporting senior leaders within Investment Banking or another highly regulated financial services environment.
- Experience coordinating complex international travel and client-facing events.
- Understanding of executive support best practices within large corporate organisations.
- Experience managing interactions with senior external clients and industry stakeholders.
- Familiarity with expense management and administrative control processes.
- Established professional network within the financial services community.
- Track record of contributing to process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
