We have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Administration Assistant to join our team within the Directorate of Adult Mental Health.
As a Business Assistant you will provide a comprehensive administrative service to the multi disciplinary team within an admin team. You will be joining a welcoming team who work well together and support each other.
We are looking for someone who is motivated, enthusiastic, a team player and above all able to demonstrate a commitment to the Trust’s values in everyday life.
The role is within the adult mental health admin team, primarily supporting the Occupational Therapies team.

Job Description Summary (Main Duties And Responsibilities)
The successful candidate will possess excellent IT and audio-typing skills, good written and verbal communication skills, good numerical and analytical skills, the ability to liaise with service users in a calm and compassionate manner and the ability to work positively and proactively as part of the wider administrative and clinical teams.
As a Business Assistant, you will be required to:
- Attend meetings, take minutes/notes, circulate documentation, and ensure actions are logged, prioritised, and followed up.
- Plan and organise training, appointments, and events, including coordinating travel arrangements and guest speakers.
- Undertake diary management for yourself and others and communicate effectively via email, implementing a flagging/prioritisation system.
- Create and format professional communications, such as letters, leaflets, presentations, reports, and briefings to a high standard.
- Order goods or services, monitor progress of orders, check receipt of goods or services, and ensure invoices can be reconciled.
- Deal with complaints and use your own initiative to solve problems, escalating where necessary.
- Issue patient monies and petty cash, bank, order monies, and balance monthly accounts, along with checking and invoicing of travel dockets.
