Business Assurance Advisor

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Business Assurance Advisor to support the continued development, maintenance and improvement of our integrated management system.

The role will work closely with the Business Assurance Manager and will initially support assurance activities across the business, including internal auditing, corrective action management, compliance monitoring and management-system improvement.

This position offers a clear development pathway for someone who already has practical ISO auditing experience and is looking to progress into a future Business Assurance Manager role.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of ISO management systems, particularly ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, and will be confident conducting audits, reviewing evidence and working with operational teams to drive improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and undertake internal audits across projects, sites and business functions.
  • Produce clear, accurate and evidence-based audit reports.
  • Identify nonconformities, observations, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the management and continual improvement of the integrated management system.
  • Assist with the review and update of policies, procedures, process maps and other controlled documents.
  • Monitor corrective actions and support action owners with root-cause analysis.
  • Verify that corrective actions have been implemented effectively.
  • Support external certification audits, client audits and supplier audits.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of the annual audit and assurance programme.
  • Maintain accurate audit records, action trackers, registers and supporting evidence.
  • Support the preparation of assurance reports, dashboards and management-review information.
  • Monitor audit findings, action close-out, compliance trends and recurring issues.
  • Provide practical advice to project teams and departments on management-system requirements.
  • Support tender, prequalification, accreditation and certification submissions where required.
  • Work collaboratively with operational, health and safety, environmental, quality, HR, commercial and project teams.
  • Promote a positive culture of assurance, compliance, learning and continual improvement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
