The role

As a Business Assurance Associate, you'll support the Business Assurance team in delivering audit, monitoring and assurance activities across the Group.

Sitting within a central function, you'll help analyse data, maintain reporting, track actions and contribute to assurance reviews that help ensure the business operates in line with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build experience in audit, risk, compliance and insurance within a supportive and collaborative environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Support the production of Business Assurance reports, dashboards and committee packs.
  • Analyse audit and assurance data to identify trends, themes and potential areas of risk.
  • Maintain remediation action trackers and monitor progress against agreed plans.
  • Update and manage assurance records, documentation and reporting outputs.
  • Respond to routine queries from the Business Assurance team and wider business stakeholders.
  • Support the delivery of the Technical File Audit Programme, including tracking completion and collating results.
  • Assist with file reviews, facility audits and targeted assurance activities.
  • Investigate findings and contribute to root cause analysis and improvement recommendations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the business to gather information and support assurance activities.
  • Support projects and process improvement initiatives through analysis, documentation and reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, oversight and business processes through data-led insight.
  • Develop knowledge of insurance, regulation, audit methodologies and Business Assurance standards through ongoing learning and training.

Who we're looking for

  • Experience working with data, reporting, administration, analysis or management information through education, internships, placements or previous employment.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Copilot.
  • Ability to analyse information, identify trends and recognise inconsistencies in data.
  • Experience maintaining trackers, reports, records or structured documentation.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience building effective working relationships with colleagues, customers or stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of, or interest in, audit, risk, compliance, insurance or business assurance environments.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats.

Qualifications

  • Educated to A-Level standard (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
  • Cert CII qualification, or willingness to work towards achieving it.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Good numeracy skills and attention to detail.
