Business Central Functional Consultant (Finance & Operations)
12-month Contract | Basildon / Hybrid Working | Circa £500 - £520 per day Outside IR35 (rate flexible)
I am recruiting on behalf of a UK industrial services group currently undertaking a major Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and 4PS transformation programme.
Following significant growth through acquisition, the organisation is implementing a group-wide ERP platform to standardise finance and operational processes, improve reporting capabilities and create a scalable operating model for future growth.
They are seeking an experienced Business Central Functional Consultant with strong Finance and Operations expertise to lead key workstreams throughout the implementation.

This role will suit a consultant who has previously led / been heavily involved in Business Central implementations, and is comfortable driving process design, stakeholder engagement and ERP adoption across complex, multi-entity organisations.
Key Requirements
- Extensive Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation experience.
- Strong finance process expertise.
- Experience leading ERP deployment workstreams.
- Strong knowledge of:
- General Ledger
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Purchase-to-Pay (P2P)
- Order-to-Cash (O2C)
- Approval Workflows
- Role Centres
- Master Data Management (MDM)
- Experience running workshops and engaging senior stakeholders.
- Track record delivering finance transformation and process improvement initiatives.

Highly Desirable
- 4PS, Nvision or Eque2 experience.
- Construction, engineering, industrial services or infrastructure sector experience.
- Multi-entity ERP deployments.
- Acquisition-led business environments.
- Plant or operational asset management exposure.
