Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) Developer to join our team. The developer will be responsible for designing, customising, and enhancing Business Central solutions, working closely with our Delivery Managers, Application Managers, and functional teams.

This is a hands-on development role focused on new feature development, extension upgrades, integrations, and ongoing enhancements for client implementations.

Key Responsibilities

Development & Customization

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain AL extensions for Business Central.
  • Customise standard BC functionality to meet business requirements.
  • Build and maintain API integrations with external systems.
  • Work on upgrades, migrations, and performance optimisation.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure development best practices are followed.

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Work closely with Delivery Managers and Application Managers to prioritise tasks and deliver on project milestones.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Participate in technical design discussions, estimations, and sprint planning.
  • Support UAT cycles, troubleshoot issues, and resolve defects efficiently.

Support & Maintenance

  • Provide Level 3 technical support for BC implementations.
  • Debug and resolve production issues in collaboration with the support team.
  • Analyse recurring issues and propose long-term solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in Business Central (D365 BC) development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • AL language
    • Extensions (V2)
    • BC Cloud technologies
    • API integrations/web services
    • Git, DevOps, CI/CD for BC (advantageous)
  • Prior experience with Microsoft NAV (C/AL) is a plus.

Functional Knowledge

  • Good understanding of core BC functional areas:
    • Finance
    • Inventory & Warehouse
    • Procurement & Supply Chain
    • Sales & Distribution
  • Ability to understand functional requirements and convert them into technical solutions.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
  • Experience with third-party BC add-ons
  • Exposure to Azure integrations, Event Hubs, Logic Apps, etc.
