The Business Change Manager plays a critical role in: ✔ Ensuring successful adoption of change across the University ✔ Focusing on stakeholder engagement, communication, and readiness ✔ Acting as a bridge between delivery teams and senior leadership ✔ Ensuring change is understood, embedded, and delivers measurable benefits with minimal disruption


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver change initiatives across the University’s portfolio, ensuring effective planning, impact assessment, and readiness.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement, communication, and reporting, aligning change activities with project delivery.
  • Support process improvement and boost change capability through training and coaching.
  • Develop tools and resources to drive change adoption, track benefits, and embed sustainable, inclusive practices.
  • Work collaboratively to minimise disruption while enhancing student and staff experience.

Person Specification (Essential Criteria)

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience (preferably with a recognised change management qualification).
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven experience in delivering complex change—ideally within higher education or the public sector.
  • Able to communicate clearly, influence effectively, and build relationships at all levels.
  • Proactive approach with experience across the change lifecycle, including coaching others and supporting continuous improvement.
  • Financial awareness is desirable (knowledge of budgeting preferred).
