Business Change Manager (BCM) – Information Protection Programme (Microsoft Purview Information Protection)

About the Role
The Business Change Manager (BCM) will lead the Change Workstream for the Information Protection Programme (IPP), focusing on deploying Microsoft Purview Information Protection (MPIP) within the M365 ecosystem.
This role combines organisational change management, risk reduction via Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and user adoption—ensure seamless transition with minimal disruption.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Change Workstream, including:
- Planning, roadmap development, and milestone delivery
- Defining, managing, and tracking timelines, resources, and cost estimates
- Stakeholder engagement and relationship-building across business units through:
- User research and business impact assessments
- Change strategy development for all stakeholders
- Communications Strategy with:
- Developing and delivering messaging plans, options, and campaigns
- Training Strategy including:
- Designing and implementing training materials and computer-based training (CBT) modules
- Forming and managing user focus groups using feedback to improve adoption
- Day-1 support and long-term post-implementation models
- Risk and issue management, tracking progress with governance boards
- Team leadership and collaboration across programmes, adapting to evolving priorities

Qualifications
Essential
- Proven experience as a Business Change Manager or Change Lead within large-scale transformations
- Strong familiarity with change management methodologies (e.g., Prosici ADKAR)
- Recent government project experience aligning with public sector standards
- Demonstrated ability in technology-driven change (preferably Microsoft 365 environments)
- Stakeholder engagement and user adoption strategy leadership
- Competence in communications and training strategy development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be willing to travel in the UK for projects
- Must hold a valid UK Right-to-Work
- Active UK Security Clearance required

Desirable
- Microsoft Purview/Information Protection rollout experience
- Knowledge of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) frameworks
- Government or highly regulated environment experience preferred
- Familiarity with organisational change in cybersecurity/compliance
