About the role
I'm looking for someone to become my right hand.
I'm Danae Mercer: journalist, founder of The Real Confidence Project, speaker, writer and digital storyteller. My work spans social media, journalism, newsletters, public speaking, schools, media appearances and brand partnerships.
Over the past few years, this little community has grown into something much bigger than me. There are exciting opportunities every week—but I need someone exceptional to help make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
This is an opportunity to help build a purpose-driven business with an international audience, while creating work that genuinely aims to improve the lives of women and girls.
I'm looking for someone who loves bringing order to creative businesses—and who genuinely understands the world of social media, creators and digital storytelling.
What you'll do
You'll help oversee the day-to-day running of the business, including:
- Managing my inbox, calendar, meetings and travel
- Liaising with brands, PR agencies, media contacts and partners
- Supporting speaking engagements, media opportunities and our work with schools
- Keeping projects, launches and newsletters moving on time
- Creating systems and workflows that make the business run more efficiently
- Managing content calendars across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Substack and YouTube
- Brainstorming content ideas, spotting trends and identifying opportunities that align with my editorial voice
- Working closely with teams to keep creative projects moving
- Assisting with community management

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
