Senior Manager, Business Intelligence & Competitor Intelligence
Our client is a well-established European asset management firm with a strong institutional and wholesale distribution franchise across the UK and continental Europe. As part of a strategic investment in their commercial capability, they are hiring a Senior Manager, Business Intelligence to lead the firm's competitor and market intelligence function.
This is a high-visibility, cross-functional role sitting at the intersection of sales strategy, market analysis, and executive engagement. You'll be the firm's internal authority on competitor positioning, fund flows, and market trends — working directly with senior leadership to shape how the business responds to a fast-moving market.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the firm's competitor and market intelligence agenda, tracking flows, positioning, and product trends across the European asset management landscape.
- Work closely with C-suite and senior leadership, providing regular briefings and ad-hoc analysis to support key commercial decisions.
- Partner with regional sales heads to translate market and competitor data into practical, actionable insight that informs territory and client strategy.
- Present findings clearly and persuasively to senior stakeholders, distilling complex datasets into a compelling narrative.
- Monitor and interpret the latest market trends, fund flow data, and distribution dynamics, flagging commercial implications early.
- Champion the use of AI and modern analytical tools to improve the speed, depth, and quality of intelligence produced by the function.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
