What success looks like in this role

The Business Consultant will work with clients and internal teams to understand business challenges, define clear requirements, and support the delivery of practical technology-enabled solutions.

This role suits an experienced business analyst who can bridge business needs and technical delivery, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and translate complex information into structured recommendations, process improvements, and delivery-ready outputs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients, business stakeholders, and technical teams to understand objectives, challenges, risks, and desired outcomes.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to elicit, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
  • Analyse current-state processes, systems, and ways of working, then define future-state improvements that are realistic, measurable, and aligned to business priorities.
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, process maps, acceptance criteria, and other delivery-ready documentation.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and service teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, well understood, and aligned with technical constraints.
  • Support solution design by providing business context, impact analysis, dependency mapping, and clear prioritisation of requirements.
  • Communicate complex business and technical concepts in plain language for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support testing, user acceptance, change readiness, and implementation activities to ensure solutions meet agreed requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, data-led decision-making, and improved operational efficiency.
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and help drive consensus across competing priorities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
