Business Consultant - Insurance Practice

We are looking for a Business Consultant with deep Insurance Practice expertise to act as a trusted advisor to clients and an integral partner to Sales, Product, Pre-sale and Delivery teams. This role sits at the intersection of pre-sales, and industry thought leadership, supporting both new business growth and the successful evolution of existing customer relationships.

You will bring strong domain knowledge across the insurance value chain and play a critical role in align with market needs, regulatory requirements, and customer outcomes.

Location: UK / EMEA (with travel requirements being 30-50% of the time)

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Sales & Go-to-Market Support

  • Act as a subject-matter expert during pre-sales engagements, doing platform demos, supporting solution positioning, customer discussions, and product demonstrations.
  • Lead or contribute to Proof of Concept (PoC) definition, ensuring clear scope, objectives, and success criteria.
  • Provide sales strategy consultancy, helping account teams align solutions to customer business challenges and strategic priorities.
  • Own or contribute to RFI/RFP responses, ensuring accuracy, differentiation, and strong alignment to customer requirements.

Solution Design & Delivery Enablement

  • Lead blueprint planning and execution, translating business requirements into structured solution designs.
  • Support project consultancy activities across the customer lifecycle, from early engagement through delivery and expansion.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure solutions are realistic, scalable, and aligned to Sapiens' delivery capabilities.

Industry, Regulation & Thought Leadership

  • Provide guidance on regulatory and compliance considerations, ensuring solutions reflect current and emerging insurance regulations.
  • Deliver business training to internal teams and customers, sharing industry best practices and solution understanding.
  • Represent Sapiens at industry conferences and events, contributing to thought leadership and market presence.

Key Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong understanding of the General Insurance/P&C insurance or Life & Pensions marketplace, including core insurance processes and operating models.
  • Proven experience in software solution sales, implementation, or consultancy within the financial services or insurance sector.
  • Proven track record working for a Born-in-the-Cloud or Cloud-Native technology company, ideally within SaaS, insurance platforms, digital transformation, or cloud-based ecosystems.
  • Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders, including management and C-level executives.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear business value.
  • Self-starter with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a matrix, international environment with diverse cultures and stakeholders

Desirable Experience

  • Account management or business development experience within enterprise clients.
  • Demonstrated track record of supporting revenue growth and sustainable customer value.
  • Experience with consultative solution selling and collaborative deal shaping.
  • Experience contributing to product strategy, roadmap discussions, or analyst engagement.
