Business Consultant Internship

Internship Role: Gain Practical Experience in Consulting Projects

Are you interested in gaining practical experience in consulting projects while completing your studies? This internship role provides structured, real-world project exposure in a remote consulting environment.

About Blackmont Consulting

Blackmont Consulting is a student-led consulting organization established in 2020 that supports client projects through structured analysis and research.

Project teams work on defined business cases focused on performance improvement and decision support. Consulting team members collaborate on assigned projects with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to research, analysis, and client deliverables.

Key Duties

  • Work in teams of 6-8 to tackle real-world business problems over the course of the project.
    • Contribute to market trends predictions and suggestions.
    • Develop solutions for complex client situations to ensure meeting goals and deliver results on time.
    • Conduct primary research among industry contacts, including customers, suppliers, and competitors of companies being researched.
    • Assess sector, currency, political, and regulatory risks where applicable.
    • Conduct financial analysis and modeling of companies under coverage.
    • Analyze financial performance, returns on capital, and valuation.
  • Identify information sources, gather and interpret data, and present findings to case team members and client stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver innovative strategies and tools to target new and current clients.

Requirements

  • Currently in your first, second, third, or final year of university (Master’s or PhD students eligible).
  • Ability to commit to this position for a minimum of three months.
  • Membership in Blackmont (become one here) required.

  • The program is non-remunerated.
  • Membership fees support organization maintenance, including website, software programs, and courses.
  • As a non-profit, Blackmont does not charge clients but requires internal funding.
