Business Consultant ( Internship )

Consulting Internship at Blackmont – Gain Practical Experience While Studying

Are you interested in gaining practical experience in consulting projects while completing your studies? This internship role provides structured, real-world project exposure in a remote consulting environment.

About the Role

Blackmont Consulting is a student-led consulting organisation established in 2020. We support client projects through structured analysis, research, and problem-solving. Consultants work in multidisciplinary teams on defined business cases focused on performance improvement, market trends, and decision support.

Your key duties will include:

  • Working in teams of 6–8 members to tackle real-world business problems across the project lifecycle.
  • Conducting market trend analysis, providing predictions and actionable suggestions for clients.
  • Developing solutions for complex business challenges, ensuring project goals are met on time.
  • Carrying out primary research (interviews with industry contacts, customers, suppliers, and competitors).
  • Assessing sector-specific, political, and regulatory risks where relevant.
  • Performing financial analysis, modelling, and valuation of target companies.
  • Analyzing financial performance, returns on capital, and capital allocation strategies.
  • Identifying opportunities for new and existing clients, then designing innovative tools and strategies to meet their needs.
  • Managing the entire research-and-analysis lifecycle—from information gathering to data interpretation, through stakeholder presentations of findings.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
