Business Continuity Manager

Contract: Permanent - Full time

Salary: £53,513 to £59,459 per annum for 35 hours per week.

Location: Bruce Kenrick House, 2 Killick Street, London N1 9FL

Workplace type: Hybrid - 2 days per week in the office

What you’ll do

As Business Continuity Manager, you will lead Notting Hill Genesis’ approach to business continuity and operational resilience. You will develop and embed business continuity frameworks, plans, and crisis response arrangements that ensure critical services continue to operate during disruption.

This is a highly visible role that combines strategic leadership with operational incident management, helping protect residents, services, and the organisation during challenging situations.

How you’ll do it

  • Develop and maintain NHG’s Business Continuity Management Framework.
  • Ensure alignment between corporate and directorate-level continuity plans.
  • Lead Business Impact Analysis activity across the organisation.
  • Support teams in developing practical and effective continuity plans.
  • Design and deliver annual testing and scenario exercise programmes.
  • Establish crisis management structures and escalation protocols.
  • Lead or coordinate responses to major incidents and disruptions.
  • Monitor resilience arrangements and provide reporting to governance forums.
  • Deliver training and awareness programmes across the organisation.
  • Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.

Essential:

  • Significant experience in business continuity, operational resilience, or crisis management.
  • Experience developing and implementing business continuity frameworks.
  • Experience leading responses to major incidents and disruptions.
  • Ability to design and deliver large-scale testing and exercises.
  • Strong understanding of risks affecting housing providers.
  • Experience establishing crisis response arrangements.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience preparing reports for senior leadership and governance forums.
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
  • CBCI or MBCI qualification.
  • Knowledge of ISO 22301.

Desirable:

  • Membership of the Business Continuity Institute.
  • Knowledge of risk management frameworks such as ISO 31000 or COSO ERM.
