Fred. Olsen Renewables is a Norwegian energy company and part of the Bonheur ASA group. We develop, build, own and operate renewable energy projects across Norway, Sweden, Italy and the UK. With an established portfolio of operational wind farms and a strong pipeline across wind, solar and battery storage, we play an active role in the energy transition.
Our Development department is at the front of this journey—taking projects from early-stage ideas through permitting, design and ultimately investment decisions.
We’re looking for a proactive Business Controller to act as the financial partner for our Development team.
In this role, you’ll get a front-row seat to how renewable energy projects are actually built—from a financial perspective. You’ll work closely with project managers and leadership, owning reporting and forecasts for projects across European markets, and delivering insights that directly impact decision-making at management and Board level.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
