Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst – Data to act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams across multiple data transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in requirements gathering, data analysis, stakeholder management, and data governance within the Utilities domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
- Translate business requirements into clear data and technical specifications.
- Define and document data models, data mappings, and end-to-end data flows.
- Work closely with Data Engineers, Architects, and Developers to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Support data governance, data quality, and master data management initiatives.
- Facilitate workshops, requirement walkthroughs, and stakeholder meetings.
- Produce Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
- Support testing activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensure business requirements are met.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for process improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of Business Analysis experience, preferably on data-focused projects.
- Strong understanding of Azure Data Platform, Microsoft Fabric, and ETL/Data Integration concepts.
- Experience with data modelling, data mapping, and data lineage.
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and metadata management.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
- Experience working in Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Mandatory Requirements
- Experience working within the Utilities domain is mandatory.
- Ability to work onsite and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience supporting multiple concurrent data programmes or transformation initiatives is highly desirable.
