Job Title: Business Development & Account Manager

Location: Thirsk

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum + Annual Bonus + Company Car

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 17:30 pm

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and customer focused sales professional to join a well established and growing organisation in Thirsk.

The role involves developing new business opportunities, managing existing accounts and building strong customer relationships across a designated territory. You will work with both commercial and private clients, promoting a comprehensive range of services while delivering exceptional customer service and achieving ambitious sales targets.

Key Responsibilities Of Business Development & Account Manager

  • Drive revenue growth by proactively managing a designated sales territory
  • Generate new business opportunities and develop existing customer accounts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through regular contact and site visits
  • Promote the company's full range of services and solutions
  • Conduct customer meetings, site surveys and consultations to identify requirements
  • Prepare quotations and provide suitable recommendations based on customer needs
  • Work closely with local management to support customer retention and account development
  • Reactivate dormant accounts and identify opportunities for business growth
  • Maintain accurate customer records, activity reports and sales data
  • Monitor sales performance against targets and implement strategies to maximise results
  • Resolve customer queries and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

Experience Required

  • Proven experience within a sales or business development role
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Strong customer service focus and consultative sales approach
  • Good organisational and administrative abilities
  • Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Self motivated, proactive and results driven attitude
  • Strong negotiation and problem solving skills
  • Professional and personable approach to customer interactions
  • Full UK driving licence

In return as Business Development & Account Manager, you'll receive a competitive salary of £30,000 - £40,000 per annum plus an annual bonus and fully expensed company car.
