The Opportunity

As a Business Development and Capture Manager, you will play a pivotal role in growing Northrop Grumman UK’s presence across Multi Domain Integration and Command and Control (C2) within the defence and security sector. Reporting to the Head of Business Development (Maritime), you will identify, shape and secure new business opportunities across the UK and international markets.

You will work at the heart of customer engagement, building trusted relationships with government stakeholders and industry partners, translating complex operational needs into compelling, high-value solutions. Your work will directly contribute to national security outcomes and the long-term growth of NGUK.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Identifying, qualifying and converting new MDI and C2 business opportunities across UK and international defence and security markets
  • Owning the full business development and capture lifecycle, from early customer engagement through to contract negotiation and award
  • Building and managing a robust, prioritised opportunity pipeline, with accurate forecasting and Salesforce reporting
  • Developing deep insight into customer missions, decision-making processes, budget cycles and operational use cases
  • Leading and contributing to capture, proposal and bid activity, working closely with cross-functional teams
  • Acting as a visible ambassador for NGUK by attending conferences, exhibitions and customer events, positioning the organisation as a thought leader in C2 systems

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience selling C2 products, services or solutions within government defence and security markets
  • Knowledge of maritime and military C2 systems, EW or CEMA, gained through sales or operational use
  • Proven ability to sell complex, technical solutions and develop profitable, sustainable deals
  • Experience managing UK and international sales opportunities, typically valued at £2m or above
  • A strong track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver winning bids
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with customers, partners and internal stakeholders
