Job Description

As a Business Development Associate Director in a small, powerful team with a high output rate, you will be part of creating that excitement for clients by portraying the best of what we do in an ever-growing category.

This award-winning team creates the excitement and appetite for our products and services.

We generate the propositions, create impactful materials, deliver the message at events (locally and globally), and then get to work with clients to sell it from writing proposals to the thrill of pitching and winning business.

You’ll be part of a highly successful commercial team that is driving net new opportunities across the Customer Experience team!

This is a hybrid role with 3 days in our London office and the rest from home.

Day to Day

We dare to be different. We want our people to be different. Be creative, be edgy, be yourself - People buy from people!

We have grown through success and continue to do so. The day to day varies but some of what we would like to involve you in includes:

  • Lead generation – Work with our lead generation team to constantly evolve our targeting list and new business messaging.
  • Incoming opportunities – Own, lead, and be the first response on agreed opportunities.
  • Generating Opportunities – Working with our lead generation team and our market-leading technology partners, proactively generate and identify new opportunities through to a successful completion.
  • Competitor Intelligence – Share and find competitor intelligence to support our in-house competitor stream.
  • Marketing Materials – Support the amplification of compelling market messaging.
  • Campaigns – Support our marketing team to generate pipeline.
  • Events – Professionally represent Ipsos at agreed industry events.

About You

This is not an account management or delivery role. It’s a frontline commercial hunting role with a strong focus on net new acquisition.

The individual will be supported by the experienced wider commercial team, but a self-starting mindset is required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
