As a Business Development Associate Director, you will:
- Play a pivotal role in driving strategic business initiatives.
- Foster relationships with key clients, expanding our market reach in the mid-market sector.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including our National Marketing function and business leaders, to shape our firm-wide BD strategy.
- Connect across teams—by sector, region, and service line—to drive client engagement and penetration.
- Represent Grant Thornton at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities, forging strategic alliances.

What You’ll Do
As a Business Development Associate Director, your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and building relationships with potential clients while nurturing leads and opportunities.
- Developing a collaborative BD strategy working with our National Marketing team to create successful mid-market engagement campaigns.
- Engaging and persuading prospective clients through compelling communication and presentations.
- Cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders and industry leaders to strengthen authority and penetration.
- Preparing data-driven reports and presentations that summarise progress, achievements, and next steps.
What You’ll Bring
This is who we’re looking for:
Minimum Criteria
- A proven track record of business development in a B2B environment, ideally at C-suite or senior executive level.
- Experience within a professional services firm or similar domain.
Preferred Skills
- Expertise in lead generation and multi-channel outreach.
- A sharp understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and competitive landscapes.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate across silos and manage ambiguous priorities.
- A go-getter attitude—self-motivated with a results-focused mindset.
