Role Description
The Business Development Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in London. This role focuses on identifying and developing new business opportunities, nurturing leads, and supporting overall revenue growth. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Conducting market research
- Generating and qualifying leads
- Preparing and delivering presentations to prospective clients
- Maintaining accurate records in CRM tools

The associate will collaborate with sales, product, and marketing teams to:
- Refine value propositions
- Support client onboarding
- Contribute to strategic initiatives that expand SSV SmartPay’s presence in key markets
The role also involves:
- Building strong client relationships
- Gathering feedback
- Representing the company at meetings, events, and industry forums as needed
Qualifications
- Strong presentation skills, including the ability to create and deliver effective presentations to diverse audiences.
- Experience with lead generation, including prospecting, qualifying opportunities, and managing a structured pipeline.
- Ability to conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and customer needs in the fintech or payments space.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex solutions clearly and confidently.
- Relevant experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within fintech, financial services, or technology.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and basic data analysis tools to track performance and report on business development activities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Motivation to learn, adaptability to evolving market conditions, and a collaborative mindset for working with cross-functional teams.
