Role Overview We are looking for a motivated and organised Business Development Associate to support TEKEVER’s business development activities across defence and security markets. This role focuses on enabling the effective day-to-day delivery of business development. You will support proposals, presentations, event planning, and customer engagement activities, working closely with teams across engineering, operations, and delivery. It is a hands-on role offering strong exposure to international campaigns, customers, and advanced technologies, with the opportunity to develop broad experience across the full business development lifecycle. Why This Role Matters This role plays an important part in ensuring TEKEVER’s business development activities are well-coordinated and professionally delivered. By supporting proposals, events, and customer engagement, you will help enable the wider team to execute effectively across multiple campaigns.
- Proposal & Bid Support · Support the preparation of proposals, presentations, and bid submissions · Coordinate inputs from internal teams (technical, operational, commercial) · Ensure consistency in formatting and messaging · Maintain and organise proposal materials and content libraries
- BD & Campaign Support · Support planning and coordination of BD activities and campaigns · Assist with organising meetings, customer visits, and internal reviews · Track actions and follow-ups from engagements · Prepare briefing materials for meetings and leadership interactions
- Demonstrations & Events · Support planning and coordination of demonstrations and events · Assist with tracking logistics such as systems, timelines, and personnel · Help prepare demo plans, scripts, and customer-facing materials · Support on-site execution where required
- Presentations & Content Development · Develop and update PowerPoint presentations · Translate technical and operational concepts into clear content · Support tailoring materials for different customers and use cases
- Research & Market Insight · Conduct research on customers, markets, and competitors · Support development of basic insights to inform BD activities · Maintain simple tracking tools and summary outputs
- Pipeline & Opportunity Tracking · Support tracking of opportunities and tenders · Assist with maintaining the BD pipeline · Help gather initial information on new opportunities
- Events & Exhibitions Support · Support planning and coordination of exhibitions and conferences · Assist with meeting schedules and engagement planning · Capture notes, outputs, and follow-up actions Essential Skills & Attributes · Exceptional Communication & Stakeholder Management: Ability to confidently engage with and extract information from diverse teams, including engineering, operations, and senior leadership, to meet tight proposal deadlines. · Advanced / Intermediate Fluency in Japanese: Ability to manage routine conversations and read standard documents in Japanese. · Strong Technical Literacy: A quick learner who can grasp complex technological concepts (such as unmanned systems or data services) and translate them into clear, compelling content for non-technical audiences. · Attention to Detail: A high standard of written English and a "final-eye" approach to formatting, ensuring all customer-facing materials and bid submissions are error-free and professionally presented. · Project Coordination & Multitasking: Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously - from tracking BD pipelines to coordinating event logistics-while maintaining a calm and organised approach under pressure. · Research & Analytical Skills: Proficiency in gathering market intelligence and competitor data, with the ability to synthesize findings into concise briefing notes or internal reports. · Advanced Proficiency in MS Office: Specifically PowerPoint and Word, with a focus on creating visually engaging presentations and managing complex document structures for bid responses. The post holder will be expected to participate in this process, and we would aim to reach an agreement on any changes.
