Description
Are you a relationship-driven sales professional looking for a role where your personality is as valuable as your sales figures? If so, we might have found your perfect next move.
We're looking for a Media Sales Consultant to join our York team, selling display advertising and digital solutions into some of the region's most loved and respected titles - The York Press, Gazette and Herald, along with the Yorkshire Life & Living magazine. These aren't just publications - they're trusted, established brands with loyal audiences and genuine prestige. You'll be representing them with pride.
We're not just looking for someone who can hit a number. As important as commercial ability is, we're equally focused on finding the right fit for our team. We're a close-knit, collaborative group, and we want someone who will genuinely add to the culture - someone who brings energy, positivity, and a natural warmth to everything they do.
The ideal candidate will be someone who finds conversation easy and relationships effortless - the kind of person who can walk into a room of strangers and leave with a handful of genuine connections. You'll thrive on interaction, whether that's a first cold call, a face-to-face client meeting, or a catch-up with an account you've nurtured over months. Keeping conversations flowing and relationships alive is something that comes naturally to you - not something you have to work at.
This is a role where being well-connected, people-focused, and passionate about representing a premium brand is just as important as your ability to close. If you genuinely love people, love conversation, and want to sell something you're proud of - this is the role for you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
