Business Development Consultant – US Market
London HQ | Hybrid (Moorgate)
As Signify Technology enters its tenth year, we are continuing to invest in the development of our US client partnerships from our London headquarters.
This role exists as a result of sustained growth across our US client base and the need to continue developing meaningful, consultative partnerships with organisations who require more than transactional recruitment support.
As a Business Development Consultant aligned to our US market, you will focus on establishing and developing strategic hiring relationships with technology businesses. Working closely with our delivery teams, you will support clients across a range of hiring models, ensuring that we are positioned as a long-term partner rather than a short-term supplier.
Responsibilities
Developing new client relationships within US tech market Identifying and generating new business opportunities Managing end-to-end recruitment processes across contract and permanent hiring Delivering against individual and multi-hire client requirements Building candidate networks within your market Managing stakeholder expectations throughout the hiring process Contributing to the growth of longer-term client partnerships
Requirements
Previous experience in a Business Development role within a technology recruitment environment Experience working within the US technology market A track record of consistent billing within a recruitment setting Experience developing and managing hiring partnerships within Software Engineering, Data, Machine Learning or AI markets Strong commercial awareness and ability to sell hiring solutions Ability to operate within a high-performance environment
Why Signify?
Signify has grown consistently in revenue year-on-year since opening and now operates as a predominantly contract-focused consultancy business, with the majority of our work centred around long-term contract and project delivery.
Our consultants are not restricted to selling a single hiring model. Instead, they are supported to operate as hiring partners across both contract and permanent hiring, as well as embedded and project-based solutions. This enables broader client partnerships and access to more stable revenue streams than reliance on individual placements alone.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
