Job Title
This is a newly created role within the Personal Injury & Medical Negligence (PIMN) team, bringing together business development and digital marketing responsibilities into one strategic position. The role incorporates the previous Digital Marketing function while expanding its scope to include business development, relationship management, and charity engagement activities.
A key aspect of the position is building and maintaining relationships through regular face-to-face meetings with both internal and external stakeholders, including fee earners, charity partners, clients, and other professional contacts. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing PIMN's market presence, driving digital performance, supporting growth initiatives, and strengthening stakeholder engagement.
The work undertaken by the Personal Injury & Medical Negligence team often involves highly sensitive and complex client matters. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a high level of professionalism, empathy, and discretion, with a strong understanding of the importance of treating clients and their circumstances with respect, compassion, and sensitivity at all times.
The role requires regular travel between Belfast, London, Birmingham, and Manchester.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Relationship Management
- Develop and deliver business development strategies that support the growth objectives of the PIMN team.
- Work closely with Partners and senior stakeholders to develop and implement charity engagement strategies.
- Maintain and manage the PIMN Business Development Tracker.
- Provide end-to-end business development support to Partners and fee earners.
- Attend and contribute to in-person business development meetings, partner meetings, and networking activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including charity organisations and referral partners.
- Oversee PIMN's presence across external charity platforms and partner networks.
- Support charity partnership applications and external submissions.
- Coordinate charity-led events and engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate with HR regarding new joiners and support integration into the team.
- Maintain records relating to the PIMN Referral Scheme.
Digital Marketing & Website Management
- Oversee and regulate the PIMN website, providing regular updates and strategic recommendations to the Head of Media and Head of PIMN.
- Own and deliver the SEO strategy, including technical SEO and content optimisation.
- Drive AI optimisation initiatives to strengthen PIMN's visibility within AI-generated responses and emerging search technologies.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows through AI tools and automation to improve marketing and operational efficiency.
- Liaise with the wider corporate Digital Marketing team, identifying and resolving any conflicts between websites, content, and strategies.
- Manage website dashboards, reporting tools, and analytics, providing regular performance insights and recommendations.
- Take ownership of Ahrefs software and provide guidance on best practice and utilisation.
- Manage and optimise Google Ads campaigns, including PPC and video advertising.
- Maintain PIMN intranet pages and ensure content remains accurate and up to date.

Social Media, Content & Brand Management
- Provide day-to-day management, coaching, and development of the Social Media Executive.
- Lead and oversee PIMN's social media strategy.
- Monitor platform and algorithm changes, providing advice and recommendations on best practice.
- Oversee the creation of social media content and ensure alignment with business objectives and brand standards.
- Manage email marketing campaigns, including event promotion, client engagement activities, and internal communications through Vuture.
- Oversee visual design and printed marketing materials, including:
- Brochures
- Leaflets
- Graphics
- Brand guidelines and collateral
- Manage marketing inventory and print requirements.
Client Engagement & Reputation Management
- Communicate directly with clients to obtain approval for the publication of case studies.
- Gather client feedback, testimonials, comments, and quotes for marketing and business development purposes.
- Explain anonymisation options where appropriate and obtain approval for publication across relevant channels, including the website and social media.
- Contact clients via email and telephone to support the collection of Google and Trustpilot reviews.
- Respond to client queries regarding feedback processes and explain how feedback will be used and displayed.
- Monitor and support online reputation management activities.
Events & Communications
- Coordinate and support internal and external events, seminars, conferences, and charity-led initiatives.
- Manage event marketing communications and attendee engagement.
- Lead post-event communications, including thank-you emails, sharing presentations, and distributing supporting materials.
- Work with stakeholders to maximise attendance and engagement at events.
Legal Directories & Profile Management
- Support the preparation and submission of legal directory entries.
- Coordinate referee responses and submissions for:
- Chambers & Partners
- Legal 500
- Manage and maintain solicitor, partner, and departmental profiles.
- Ensure legal directory content remains accurate, current, and aligned to strategic objectives.
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
- Support expense management and payment processing activities.
- Manage marketing-related budgets, suppliers, and stock where required.
- Ensure accurate records are maintained across all business development and marketing activities.
