Business Development Director
Location: London/Sheffield/Hybrid Salary: £80,000–£100,000 + commission + wider package options
About the Business
This is an opportunity to join an ambitious, award-winning digital growth consultancy at a groundbreaking stage of its evolution.
Already renowned for exceptional results with well-known consumer brands, the business has shaped a market-leading proposition in digital growth. They are now seeking a commercially driven Business Development Director to build and scale its new business function from the foundation up.
This isn’t about inheriting an already-established sales operation—you’ll be given autonomy to design, implement, and lead the commercial strategy that drives the next wave of growth.
Ideal if you enjoy creating structure, building high-performing sales functions, and winning strategic accounts.
The Opportunity
As a Director, you’ll report directly to the founders and take full ownership of the new business function—spanning strategy development, pipeline creation, and client winning and onboarding.
You’ll collaborate closely with marketing and operations teams, who already support lead generation via CRM, automation, events, and content. Your role will transform these channels into a predictable, scalable revenue engine.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
