Summary
We are seeking a proactive, strategic and result-driven individual to join Shift4’s Business Development team. Our team focuses on retaining and expanding our share-of-wallet and revenue within the existing strategic merchant and partner base. The ideal candidate will possess a robust acumen for sales strategy and business development within both card-present and card-not-present environments, demonstrating a proven track record of cultivating high-value partnerships and client relationships. You’ll be responsible for contributing to Shift4’s long-term growth by leading high-impact commercial deals, project management and strategic projects that align with both Shift4’s and our clients’ objectives.

Responsibilities
- Drive sales and business expansion efforts, targeting both partner collaborations and significant payment processing opportunities, with a strategic focus on designated verticals.
- Actively seek out and cultivate new business leads, overseeing the entire sales lifecycle, from initial engagement to the successful conclusion of deals, which includes finalizing commercial agreements with both partners and potential clients.
- Oversee the integration process, working in concert with various internal teams to ensure a smooth transition to operational status for new clients and partners.
- Represent the company at global industry events, to showcase Shift4 offerings and engage with potential clients. This will require international travel to both client sites and various company offices, as needed, to foster relationships and drive business growth.

Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in sales or business development, with a proven track record in international e-commerce and POS solutions sectors, ideally gained within a financial institution or as part of an online Payment Service Provider.
- The candidate should bring an established merchant network within a target sector including Retail, Digital Content (such as software and gaming, streaming services), App-based Services (like taxi or ride-sharing apps), or the travel industry.
- A deep understanding of the credit card acquiring process and the broader online payments landscape.
- Experience working in a global or multinational business environment.
- Strong commercial acumen, with refined analytical abilities, and a history of setting and surpassing ambitious sales goals.
- An autonomous self-starter with a keen business sense, exemplary negotiation acumen, and strong presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to connect with stakeholders at all organizational levels, coupled with robust communication abilities, both verbally and in writing, in Business English.
