We're working with a Systems Integrator & Technology consultancy on a key hire for their Central Government portfolio, someone to take the reins and really drive growth across the sector.
They've already built strong relationships across a number of departments, and off the back of solid MOD and Central Gov wins, their plan for the next 12-24 months is to push their capabilities out more widely across Government. This is a business on the up, and they need someone who can help take it to the next level.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You'll need a background in taking consulting, systems, network & infrastructure capabilities to market, specifically within core Government departments. This isn't a role where you'll be handed a pipeline, it's an individual contributor position with full ownership of revenue growth, working through both direct sales and framework agreements. For the right person, this is a genuine chance to shape the Central Government strategy from the ground up and help build out the function as the business continues to grow year on year.
