Business Development Director

Business Development Director 📍 Location: London (Hybrid: 2 days per week at the London Wall office / Tuesdays and Thursdays)

✈️ This role requires regular travel to meet clients & partners in person.

About the Role

You will take ownership of winning new business and expanding LexisNexis Risk Solutions’ presence in three Nordic countries: Sweden, Norway, and Iceland. This involves leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, often engaging directly with C-suite executives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, with a focus on new logo acquisition.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasts and reporting in Salesforce.
  • Conduct regular face-to-face engagements (minimum 10 monthly meetings).
  • Apply MEDDPICC and Value Pyramid frameworks to understand customer needs and align solutions effectively.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Solution Consulting, and Technical teams to close complex deals.
  • Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to drive long-term growth.
  • Collaborate with market planning, marketing, regulators, and external partners on strategic initiatives.
  • Work with account management teams to identify cross-sell opportunities.
  • Use tools like Gong and Lusha to optimise propecting, pipeline management, and deal execution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in business development or enterprise solution sales; preference given to candidates with a background in financial crime, fraud, identity, or compliance.
  • Fluent English required; additional Nordic language skills would be advantageous.
  • Proven ability to exceed ACV targets in a complex, solution-led sales environment.
  • Strong expertise in the MEDDPICC framework and experience in managing multi-stakeholder opportunities.
  • Prior experience in banking, fintech, or regtech industries.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.
